Recently Google raised concern over Apple’s messaging system. It leads to bad experience for Apple’s users even Google’s devices sending messages appropriately. It seems Google Vs Apple Get Message Cold War started!

While Interviewing Tim Cook CEO of Apple, Reporter ask about this issue then Tim said, “Buy your mother a iPhone”. This sparks mixed reactions that whether Apple care about user experience at all.

History

Apple’s market strategy were pretty straightforward from Steve Jobs time. It says they will create unique high branded products but always in a way that lacking something and users when try to fill the gaps they will find compatible products from Apple itself.

So basically Apple in general create requirements in market by own. This market tactics mostly work for them due to high craze for iPhone or Apple products amoung users.

Get Message Movement

Get Message Movement is social media campaign by Google to protest against Apple due to this issue. Google raising concerns that Apple deliberately not updating user’s messaging experience due to they want to pretend it’s Google’s fault. Users should update their Android phones to iPhone.

So, finally as per user experience points of view we thought Apple should update their messaging experience for users so that it don’t force users to buy a product that is USP for them. RCS (Rich Communication Service) that is widely used for messaging now has solution for this issue. It should be a feature or whatever highlights they want to attract users. Android is highly available and cost effective platforms for users that’s why users most popular choice in the market.

If we want to attract user base then we should have healthy competition out there where customers that is key factor regarding market capture.
