Is VLC Windows Ban In India? VLC a popular video player software available on multiple platforms for users now having issues of availability in India. Recently users are unable to access windows executable file .exe on VLC website.
Many users on twitter post the issue that they’re not able to find the windows executable file for intallting most popular software for video player.
It’s reportedly said that cyber crime groups actively uses this software for targetting windows machines. But VLC counter the allegations that this old bug was already fixed in 2010 patch. Some independent organization related to internet freedom raised RTI for seeking exact reason behind the ban.
But the results were inconclusive. So VLC users still waiting for a reasonable update in this matter. However VLC is available on other platforms like Android & iOS for now.
