Wireless Charging is the most promising tech, emerging in the market these days. Every cell phone and gadget manufacturing companies trying to build the support for this over the air charging. Let’s explore Wireless Charging – Quick bite in the current scenarios.
Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung you name it, every big business targeting their audience to wireless enabled devices that gives fast charging. As well as quick bite to their device that last longer than a traditional charging work.
Inductive charging, which is widely known as wireless charging works on electromagnetic induction to provide power to portable devices. It’s most common use case is for mobiles and fancy gadgets like smart watch, tablets etc. But it is also extended to vehicles, IoT (Internet of things) devices and medical devices.
This type of charging setup consists of coil based structure. First alternating current pass through a coil that creates a magnetic field. That goes through the induction coil which is finally converted to direct current by the rectifier. This direct current can be used to charge portable devices.
Distance between charging coil and devices if changes, then wireless charging can be established via resonant coupling. In this induction coil is attached with a capacitor to create a circuit that matches the required frequency.
This type of charging still a fancy setup for some of the devices and for some it is quite handy. Still, budget mobile phones and gadgets integrating this tech to reach a mass audience. It is expensive and some time cheap charger in the market are not up to mark that reflect inefficiency.
On a bright side wireless charging has a great future ahead. As most of the users are attached to their devices practically the whole day. So this will definitely help them their charging issues sorted. It might be slower relatively to fast USB-c type charging. But this charging still has a potential to capture the market.
So that’s the brief overview of wireless charging from The Smart Innovator. Stay tuned for upcoming cover stories. Feel free to share your thoughts about this wireless tech in the comment section.
